About the Conference

IEEE-GCON is the flagship annual international conference of the IEEE Guwahati Subsection. It provides a platform for academicians, researchers, industry professionals, research scholars and students to present original work, exchange ideas and develop collaborations across emerging areas of engineering and technology.

4th IEEE-GCON 2027

IEEE-GCON is the flagship annual international conference of the IEEE Guwahati Subsection. The fourth edition, IEEE-GCON 2027, will be held from 16th to 18th June 2027 at the National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, Sohra (Cherrapunjee), Meghalaya, India.

Organised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Meghalaya, the conference provides a platform for researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students to present their work, exchange ideas, and discuss recent advances in science and technology.

National Institute of Technology Meghalaya

National Institute of Technology Meghalaya is an Institute of National Importance established under the NIT framework of the Government of India. Established in 2010, the institute is committed to quality technical education, research, innovation and technological development.

The permanent campus is located at Saitsohpen, Sohra (Cherrapunjee), East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya, and provides academic, research, residential and administrative facilities in the distinctive natural environment of Sohra.

Organising Department

Department of Computer Science and Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Meghalaya offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes and supports teaching and research across contemporary areas of computer science and engineering.

Research and academic activities include artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, image and signal analysis, computer networks, cybersecurity, software systems and emerging computing technologies. IEEE-GCON 2027 is organised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Meghalaya.

The Subsection promotes industry–academia interaction, encourages student participation in global IEEE initiatives, and connects regional talent with international professional networks. GCON is its flagship annual international conference.
